The walk will be 11.25 miles, 7 miles in the morning and 4 miles after lunch, which will be at the Swan, Great Easton. Sandwiches can be eaten on the village green.

Park in the White Street Car Park CM6 1BD. TL 628 219. There is a charge of £3.50. There are toilets in the car park.

Exit the M11 at junction 8 (Stansted) and take the A120 towards Colchester. Take the B1256 towards Takely/Thaxted/Great Dunmow onto roundabout. Take 1st exit B1256; at 2nd roundabout take 1st exit B1256. At 3rd roundabout take 2nd exit B1256 Stortford Road; at 4th roundabout take 1st exit B1256. Bear right into High Street; look for long stay car park sign on right and turn left into White Streeet Car Park, behind the Co-op.
