Start and Parking: The parking and start are on the dead end  road on the north side of the ‘horse statue’ roundabout, SW of Newmarket (junction of A1303 and A1304). Drive along to near the Devil’s Dyke to park, grid ref 618614. There is a sign at the roundabout to the National Stud, Post code CB8 0XE, and Newmarket July Racecourse.

Refreshments:  No refreshments at lunch time, so please bring all provisions for the day.

Walk details: The walk crosses the Heath to Exning, over to Landwade church for coffee and a display of daffodils,  and onto Burwell for lunch by the castle ruins. The afternoon return will include Devil’s Dyke.
