Wood Walton to Abbots Ripton circular walk directions

(Park in road The Beville, Woodwalton, Huntingdon, PE28 5YP)

From Cambridge take A14 to Huntingdon, coming off at junction 23.  At top of slip road take A141 towards Warboys, Chatteris and March.  At the third roundabout take first exit to Abbots Ripton and Wood Walton on B1090.  On entering Abbots Ripton go straight on through village, signposted Wood Walton.  Further on turn right for Wood Walton (and Sawtry).  Turn right again for Wood Walton.  Under railway bridge, follow road round past pub on left and turn immediately left at bus shelter/post box and telephone box.  Park on side of road/grass not opposite a drive.  Meet on grass past house on right.

The walk is 10 miles, 5.5am 4.5pm, mainly on field edge paths, tracks and roads with good views.  There are no stiles, kissing gates or middle of muddy fields to cross.  Sandwiches may be eaten on tables outside pub providing we buy a drink in the pub.
