The C Group ramble next Wednesday 28th February will start from The Axe and Compass, High Street, Hemingford Abbots, PE28 9AH. Meet in in the bar of the pub at 10am to pre-order lunch for those who wish it. Enter the pub by the back door. Toilets available. Start walking at 10.30. Ample parking at the rear of the pub.
Walk is about three miles (one and a half hours). There is some mud in patches, plus a few puddles, so boots and sticks are advised. I have booked a table at the pub.

Just a brief word about getting there. The main approach road to the village of Hemingford Abbots is a turning off the A1307. (The A1307 is the old A14 which has been renamed.) If your sat nav is older than 2021, it may not show the new road names accurately. Google maps on your phone will be more accurate.
