General walk information:

BAM walks are between 5 ½ and 6 ½ miles and walked at a pace of about 3 miles/hr. We begin at 10.00 prompt (unless otherwise stated) and usually finish between 12.30-1.00 pm. There are two walks available each week. Please let the leader know you are coming by sending them a text (or call). We hope the number of walkers will be 12 or less and at the leader’s discretion. We do not stop for lunch but there is normally a short break for a drink etc.

Walk A: Byrons Pool

Start of walk: 10.00 am

Car parking: At the Byron’s Pool car park. TL435551 CB2 9LH.

From Trumpington take Grantchester Rd towards Grantchester.

The car park entrance is on the left just before a row of cottages near the
river.  It is signposted (on the opposite side of the road) to Byron’s Pool.
The walk will be mainly farm and brookside walking near Grantchester,
including a close-up view of radio telescopes and a look at the Trumpington
Meadows Country Park.

From the Grantchester direction Byron’s Pool is on the right.

Start of walk: 10.00 am

Car parking: Parking in Church Lane, Stetchworth TL641589. Nearest post code CB8 9TN. This is a new walk that will take in as many of the normally unused paths and rights of way that the group is probably familiar with in this area.
