Wednesday B all-day walk – Newport, Essex

Walk length: 6.5 miles
Walk details: Circular walk from Newport,Essex. The walk is very attractive and uses part of the Harcamlow Way.
Meeting place and start of walk: Junction of Frambury Lane and B1383. GR 521335 OS Maps Explorer 195 Landranger 167
The B1383 is The High St running south through Newport and Frambury Lane goes off it to the west almost directly opposite Station Rd which leads east to the station ( a 3 minute walk)
Parking and travel arrangements: Although there is free parking in Frambury Lane, I highly recommend taking the 9.20 train to Newport from Cambridge which takes 20 mins and is only £6.45 with a railcard for a day return.
Group size: No limit on number of walkers
Lunch arrangements: Lunch is available at the Cricketers Arms in Rickling Green. Menu is attached. Soup is £6. Sandwiches are from £7.50.

No one should come on the walk if they feel even slightly ill. Please make sure that you bring with you a face covering, hand sanitiser and any walking poles you need; no equipment or refreshments can be shared beyond households. In line with government guidance, members are asked to observe ‘social distancing’ on the walk.
