Start time: 10.15

Walk length: Between 7 and 7.5 miles (5.5 miles in the morning, just under 2 after lunch.)

Walk details: Starting in Hldersham, the walk goes up and along the Roman Road, down into Linton for lunch, and return along the Granta river. No stiles, but hilly.

Meeting place and parking: At the far end of Hildersham. Please park by the decorative village sign. Postcode CB21 6BU.

Directions from Cambridge: Follow the A1307 towards Haverhill. Go straight over the roundabout for the A11 and continue on A1307 for 2 miles. Take the second turn left into Hildersham. The road layout has changed a little at this junction in the last few months. The turn is now about 100m after some traffic lights. Drive right through Hildersham village and park by the decorative village sign.

For people bringing a picnic, the recreation field is not far from the pub and has benches.
