Wednesday B Morning Walks

General walk information:

BAM walks are between 5 ½ and 6 ½ miles and walked at a pace of about 3 miles/hr. We begin at 10.00 prompt (unless otherwise stated) and usually finish between 12.30-1.00 pm. For the Summer we will be offering one walk each week. Please let the leader know you are coming by sending them a text (or call). We do not stop for lunch but there is normally a short break for a drink etc.

Walk: Orwell pits

Start of walk: 10.00 am

Car Parking:    Take the A603 from Cambridge, and turn right into Orwell.   Travel along this road, past the church on your lefthand side.  A short distance further you will see a car park sign off to the left.   This leads to the Car park where we will start the walk.  TL 363505 near postcode SG8 5QL

The walk is 6 Miles. The route goes north past the grave pits, and does a circular route via field footpaths into the eastern part of Wimpole Hall Estate. Returning to the village of Orwell. Dependant on weather conditions paths could be muddy in places.
