Wednesday B All-day walk – Croxton and Abbotsley

Walk length: 7 miles
Walk details: The walks starts in Croxton and heads to Abbotsley for lunch before returning to Croxton. 4 miles in the morning and 3 miles in the afternoon.
Meeting Point: High Street, Croxton.

Take the A14 from Cambridge towards Huntingdon. Keep in the right hand lane and straight on to the A428 signposted Bedford. Keep straight on the A428 passing sign on left – B1040 for Eltisley.
Shortly on the left carefully watch for the Croxton High Street cul de sac signpost and take this first left turning. Go to the end of the High Street and through the gates to park.
The leaders will look out for you and tell you where to park.
Lunch arrangements: Two options are available. (1) A picnic lunch using Abbotsley Recreation ground which has benches and is not far from the Eight Bells pub. Walkers could visit the pub for a drink and to use the toilets.
(2) Have lunch at the Eight Bells in Abbotsley. The pub has offered the following.
Filled baguettes @ £6 – Ham salad, Cheese salad, Tuna mayo, Sausage and onions. You can add fries for £1.50.
The pub has asked for choices by Monday morning (25 July) so please send your choice to Stewart – details below – by Sunday evening (24 July).
