Walk length: 7 miles (4 miles morning, 3 miles after lunch

Walk details: Church End (Saffron Walden) to Little Walden circular. Walking on tracks, footpaths and minor roads. Mainly flat, no stiles, may be some ploughed fields/missing footpaths depending on ploughing schedules but no major problems on the recce. Excellent views, particularly after lunch.

Parking and meeting place: There is a small car park (about 10 spaces) in Church End at the junction of Walden Road and Fallowden Lane (TL 57997 41626) (post code CB10 2HL). If this is full when you arrive, there are other possibilities in the village including Guildhall Way and Church Field. The walk starts at the car park.

Lunch arrangements: At The Crown, Little Walden (http://www.thecrownlittlewalden.co.uk/#food).  The menu on the website doesn’t show prices but I confirm they’re similar to what we usually pay (also that the sausage baguette is very good).  Dogs are welcome.  If you’d like to have lunch at the pub please let me have your food choice by Monday evening 19th September.

If you prefer to bring your own food, there is a little green with picnic tables close to the pub.
