Morning loop 7.4 miles via Biggleswade Common and Sandy RSPB reserve. Afternoon 5.1 miles via Potton water tower and Pegnut Wood.

From Cambridge or from M11 junction 12 follow the A603 Barton Road. After crossing the roundabout at the junction with the A1198 the road becomes the B1042. Follow this all the way to Potton. Note that’ although it is the same road number, you will need to make a right turn into Wrestlingworth and then fork left for Potton

In Potton the Royal Oak is on the left-hand side of the B1042 at its junction with the B1040 Biggleswade Road; car park at rear. Pub will open at 0930 for food ordering and toilets. Note that the pub will make some sandwiches to order in addition to the published menu.
