Gillian will lead a 13 mile walk from Long Melford, going north to Shimpling for lunch.  Lunch at The Bush in Shimpling.  A new pub for us, I think.   http://www.theshimplingbush.co.uk/ which gives the main meals, but not the deli buns for our more usual fare.   Soup too.

Long Melford is best approached via A14 and A134, takes under 1 hour from Cambridge.  Turn right just north of Long Melford into the village.  Ignore turn to right for Glemsford and go straight on.  We’re parking ¼ mile further down Long Melford High Street, on the right, a public car park,  just (a few yards) past the left hand entrance to Melford Hall.   This is different car park from previous walks!   Postcode of Melford Hall is CO10 9AA.   NB:  we’re on the opposite side of the road. http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?x=586651&y=246181&z=0&sv=CO10+9AA&st=2&pc=CO10+9AA&mapp=map.srf&searchp=ids.srf

Toilets are a  5 minute walk south from the car park by Bull Hotel.   We walk be walking north.
