Start of walk:  Barton Road car park, Ely, CB7 4HZ. Follow A10 to Ely. At Ely, go straight across roundabout into Ely city centre. Turn right signposted Cathedral, Car Park – Barton Road. Follow the road round and turn left into the Barton Road car park – free parking.  Toilets available.  Meet at the corner of the car park near the public toilets.

Lunch: A pub lunch at The Red Lion, Stretham is on offer for anyone who is interested. Please indicate when you book on the walk if you would like to take advantage of this opportunity, although the pub said we did not need to pre-order.

If not having lunch at the pub, please bring a packed lunch and all other refreshments for the day.

General walk information: The walk follows the River Great Ouse for most of the morning. The morning will be 6 miles to Stretham and the afternoon will be 5miles via Little Thetford back to Ely.
