Start of walk: Barley Town House Car Park, Church End, Barley, SG8 8JW

Car parking: Whichever way you get to Barley, you will end up driving south down the High Street,  B1368.  At the south end of the village, by the Fox and Hounds pub, turn left down Church End.  The turn on the left in Church End to the Town House is not well signed, but is immediately after the school on the left (if you get to the church you have gone too far).   Please, park right at the back of the house, again not well signposted.

Mileage: 11-11.5 Less than 4 miles in the afternoon.

Lunch:  Lunch will be available at the Woodman pub, Nuthampstead, which has a wide menu.  As in days of yore, orders will be taken before 10am at the start of the walk. There are benches at the pub for sandwich eaters.
