The walk starts from the car park of the Lion pub, Stoke by Clare, CO10 8HP. Take the A1307 to Haverhill, the A1017 around Haverhill, at Baythorne End take the A1092 to Stoke by Clare.  Park at the Lion pub on left as you go through the village.

The walk is a figure of eight, 7 miles in the morning and 4.5 in the afternoon.

Lunch may be ordered at the pub before the walk.
