It would be lovely if as many people as possible could leave their cars at home and use the Guided Busway for this walk. We meet at Fen Drayton Reserve guided busway stop. Route B via Orchard Park departs every 15 mins . There are buses at 9.30 and 9.45 from Drummer Street. The walk will start when the 9.45 bus arrives at Fen Drayton at approx. 10.20. Route A from Trumpington, Addenbrookes and Rail Station is also every 15 minutes. Fen Drayton is a request stop so press the bell after leaving Swavesey. Bus pass owners travel free. If you don’t have a bus pass buy a Day RiderPlus for £5.70, which entitles you to travel on any other Stagecoach bus the same day.

The walk will depart at 10.20am. We walk through Fen Drayton Lakes and by the River Great Ouse to Earith, where we lunch at the Riverside Inn. Orders will be taken before the start. The afternoon walk returns across the fen via Long Holme Drove to Over, and then via Mare Fen to Swavesey.

If you need to come by car, park at the RSPB car park GR342697. Turn right out of car park and walk 100m to Guided Bus stop. Car users can walk back from Swavesey to the car park or use the Guided Bus.
