Easy 45 minute drive from Cambridge.

Take the A1 North; at the A47 follow the Leicester direction;  at A43 roundabout take first exit onto A43 signed Fineshade Wood, after 2.7 miles turn left to Forest Centre.

An 11 mile walk, mostly on good paths, through forest and pretty villages. We go along the Jurassic Trail through 3 counties; starting at Top Lodge Forest Centre (toilets available), a café will be open on our return.  Fineshade Wood, part of Rockingham Forest, is an ancient mixed broadleaf and conifer woodland with lots of wildlife.

Coffee stop will be on a village green with an option to purchase coffee or tea in the community shop.
