Our walk on 27 March will start from the Cathedral car park (Barton Road – free parking), Ely. GR TL 537 800; CB7 4JE.

Take the A10 from Cambridge to the first Ely roundabout, just south of Ely. Take 2^nd exit along Cambridge Road towards city centre.  After 1km turn right, signed ‘Cathedral Car Park’. Follow signs to the car park, bearing right after ~300m.

Our route [8 miles am, 5 miles pm]:  Ely – new footbridge across river alongside S bypass – Little Thetford – Great Ouse – Stretham Old Engine – Stretham – Burying Way – Cawdle Fen – Ely.  Mainly well trodden paths in the Black Fen.

Lunch is at the Red Lion, Stretham.  Offers a good range of light bites, basket meals, and sandwiches. Please consume own food in the Jubilee Gardens, which we will pass en-route to the pub, approximately 250m away.
