We depart from the main entrance to Wimpole Hall stable block at 10.00 (£2 parking charge if you are not an NT member; no charge for walking in parkland etc.).   Postcode in National Trust Handbook SG8 0BW and their Handbook states “Sat Nav: entrance via A603, not A198”.  We walk 5 miles: along the parkland to the front of the Hall then up to the lake, across the Chinese Bridge and on to the Folly before joining a woodland path and then a rolling track back down to the Hall.  The first half of the walk is mainly on grass so may be damp underfoot.  The second half of the walk is likely to be very muddy in places.
