This walk is for 12 walkers, including the leader.  If you wish to join, please phone Penny on 01223 527763, giving your name and phone number for ‘Test & Trace’.  Mobile number on the day:  07443 429865.  The distance will be between 3.5 to 4 miles.

Park at Sainsbury’s, Coldhams Lane/Brooks Road, Cambridge CB1 3HP, towards the end of the overflow car park, away from the delivery vans parked there (i.e. furthest away from the recycling bins);  or use bike racks in the main car park.  For information, Sainsbury’s and the Starbucks Cafe there will be closed.

Starting at 10am, we’ll walk to the East Barnwell Nature Reserve and explore some of the paths, then cross Barnwell Road into Coldhams Common.  We’ll continue through a woodland path and into the Common where we’ll walk along the perimeter and back via paths through coppices and along a stream to the Community Farm, exiting onto Barnwell Road, close to Sainsbury’s.  Walking poles might be advisable because there will be some mud.

Additional Information:

In line with Government guidance for ‘Test & Trace’, everyone coming on the walk must provide the leader with their contact details, which will be held for 21 days and then deleted.  You should not come on the walk if you feel even slightly ill.

Please bring a face-covering and hand sanitiser in case needed, and any walking poles you need; no equipment or refreshments can be shared beyond households.  It is still advisable to observe ‘social distancing’ on the walk where possible.
