Town Street, Newton, Cambs CB22 7PE (CB22 7PG is pub The Queens Head)

Coming from Cambridge on A10 enter Harston.  At traffic lights, just beyond the sign for Hauxton, turn left into London Road into Newton.  At junction at Queens Head pub turn right into Town Street.  Please park beyond the church on the left alongside the church wall on the verge or the road, taking care not to park beyond or obstruct the entrance to Newton Hall.

The walk takes in Fowlmere RSPB Nature Reserve in the morning with post lunch drinks at The Green Man Pub.  The afternoon loops around L Moor before returning to Foxton and back into Newton.  12 miles.

In line with the requirements for group walks of more than 6 people, as approved by the Ramblers (the national body for walking), everyone coming on the walk must provide the leader with contact details. Please text or phone the leader if you plan to come. Please remember to give your name as part of your text! Your details will be held for 21 days for Covid-19 ‘test and trace’ purposes, then deleted. The maximum number of people allowed on any walk is 30.

No one should come on the walk if you feel even slightly ill. Please make sure that you bring with you a face covering, hand sanitiser and any walking poles you need; no equipment or refreshments can be shared beyond households. In line with government guidelines members are asked to observe ‘social distancing’ on the walk.
