Sunday B Walk from Eversden Recreation Ground CP
November 22 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Eversden Recreation Ground Car Park, Harlton Road, Eversden, CB23 1HL
Booking is essential for this walk, which is limited to 12 paces, by contacting the leaders, Sue and Roger, on 01223 276773.
The walk starts from the Recreation ground car park which is situated between Little and Great Eversden. Take the A603 from Cambridge and through Barton. Turn right at sign to Little Eversden and Great Eversden into Harlton Road. Continue for approx. three-quarters of a mile and almost immediately after Bucks Lane, which is on the right, turn right into car park for the recreation ground. There is a recreation ground signpost on the left. The postcode for Bucks Lane is CB23 1HL. If you reach Great Eversden church (on the left) you have gone too far.
The walk goes towards Wimpole, which is undulating, and uses some of the new cycle path, which avoids the mud. If the weather is good there should be some fine views. The walk is a figure of eight – approx. 7 miles in the morning, returning to the cars and to eat packed lunches on the recreation ground.
There is a short afternoon walk around Little and Great Eversden of about 2-3 miles.
