Dieter’s walk – 10 April – Elmdon to Langley

My suggestion for driving to Elmdon from Cambridge:

Take M11 to Junction 10 (Duxford) and turn right onto A505. After about 2 miles take turning left marked Chrishall Grange and follow signs to Elmdon. At the church bear left and continue some 200 to 300 yards further along the road towards Ickleton; then park in the road at or near the houses marked Bury Gardens (GR463397).  Alternatively you may wish to go via Ickleton.

If using a Satnav, enter either Elmdon or CB11 4NH (that actually is the Elmdon Dial pub, just before the church).

We will stop for lunch at The Bull in Langley Lower Green. I’ve spoken to the proprietor, Angela, and she will allow us to have our sandwiches inside, if we wish, provided as always that we each buy a drink.

Walk length: 5.5 miles morning; 4.5 miles pm.

If anyone needs a lift from Harvey Road please let me know at least by noon on Sat. 9 April.
