Road parking near Green Man Pub, Dunsbridge Turnpike, Shepreth, SG8 6RA

Take A10 south from Cambridge. After Foxton level crossing look for left turn to Melbourn. (Do not turn right into Shepreth) Turn left onto road signposted Melbourn and Science Park. After 50 yards on bend in road turn left again into Dunsbridge Turnpike. Green Man pub is on left. Park on either side of road near pub.

Walk is a figure of 8 of 11.5 miles with 5.75 miles in morning and 5.75 in afternoon. The walk follows a number of streams, passing a water mill, having coffee break in the woods and passing through Melbourn and the golf club.

Bring packed lunch. The afternoon walk goes to Fowlmere Village and Fowlmere Nature Reserve.

In line with the requirements for group walks of more than 6 people, as approved by the Ramblers (the national body for walking), everyone coming on the walk must provide the leader with contact details. Please phone the leader if you plan to come. Your details will be held for 21 days for Covid-19 ‘test and trace’ purposes, then deleted.

No one should come on the walk if you feel even slightly ill. Please make sure that you bring with you a face covering, hand sanitiser and any walking poles you need; no equipment or refreshments can be shared beyond households.
