This 15.5 mile walk will be led by Carolyn with an 8.45 start from Harvey Rd. The start of the walk and parking are in Buckland village, Hertfordshire. Coming from the A10,on the brow of the hill, turn Left (East) into Buckland at the crossroads, at the house with it’s facing wall plant covered. The lane here is wide with room to park. It is near the church, post code SG9 0PT.

The walk will go through Wallington, the home of George Orwell, and Carolyn has information about his house. Some of the walk will be on permissive paths so an interesting change from public footpaths. Lunch will be in the village of Rushdon.
