B Morning Walks: Quy/Teversham or St Ives PnR

General walk information:
BAM walks are between 5 ½ and 6 ½ miles and walked at a pace of about 3 miles/hr. We begin at 10.00 prompt (unless otherwise stated) and usually finish between 12.30-1.00 pm. There are two walks available each week. Please let the leader know you are coming by sending them a text (or call). We hope the number of walkers will be 12 or less and at the leader’s discretion. We do not stop for lunch but there is normally a short break for a drink etc.

Walk A: Quy and Teversham
Start of walk: 10.00 am
Car parking/meet: If coming out of Cambridge via Newmarket road, go straight over the Quy A14 roundabout, staying in the left-hand lane. This will take you to the left hand side of Quy church. Just before the church, take a left hand turn (marked Quy Mill Hotel & Spa). It will immediately turn sharp left. Carry on until the road veers slightly right and park anywhere along this next long straight section of road. Map reference TL514597, nearest post code CB25 9AF.

Walk B: St Ives PnR
Start of walk: 10.00 am
Car parking: From ST Ives PNR Meadow Lane PE274LG.
The walk starts from the Park and Ride car park at St Ives (meet at rear of bus shelter) at 10 a.m. The walk goes through the Fen Drayton Lakes nature reserve and along the river Gt. Ouse into St Ives.

In line with the requirements for group walks of more than six people, as approved by the Ramblers (the national body for walking), everyone coming on the walk must provide the leader with their contact details.
Please text the leader if you plan to come. Please remember to give your name as part of the text! Your details will be held for 21 days for Covid-19 ‘test and trace’ purposes, then deleted. The maximum number of people allowed on any walk is 30.
No one should come on the walk if they feel even slightly ill. Please make sure that you bring with you a face covering, hand sanitiser and any walking poles you need; no equipment or refreshments can be shared beyond households. In line with government guidance, members are asked to observe ‘social distancing’ on the walk.
