Sunday B Walk from Stetchworth

Stetchworth street parking, Church Lane, Stetchworth, CB8 9TN
Booking is essential for this walk. Preferably send text to mobile 07796 511105. Otherwise phone on landline 01223 264789 (answerphone available on landline only). Please leave name and phone number for Track and Trace.
Take the A1303 towards Newmarket. At the roundabout with a prancing horse and groom statue, turn right, signposted Stetchworth/Woodditton. The road crosses the B1061 at a staggered crossroads, signposted Stetchworth/Cheveley. Go straight on at the next angled crossroads passing Stetchworth Park on your left. Just after the 30mph sign at Stetchworth village turn left into Church Lane by a triangle of grass, village sign and memorial. Park on the left hand side of the lane (no through road) up close against the fence. Postcode of church (at end of lane) is CB8 9TN. Grid reference on Explorer 210 map is 641589.
The walk goes mainly by the Stour Valley Path to Kirtling Green for packed lunch, passing Woodditton and crossing Devils Dyke on return to Stetchworth. Approx 6 miles morning and 4.5 afternoon.

In line with the requirements for group walks of more than 6 people, as approved by the Ramblers (the national body for walking), everyone coming on the walk must provide the leader with contact details. Please text or phone the leader if you plan to come. Please remember to give your name as part of your text! Your details will be held for 21 days for Covid-19 ‘test and trace’ purposes, then deleted. The maximum number of people allowed on any walk is 30.
No one should come on the walk if you feel even slightly ill. Please make sure that you bring with you a face covering, hand sanitiser and any walking poles you need; no equipment or refreshments can be shared beyond households. In line with government guidelines members are asked to observe ‘social distancing’ on the walk.
