HF classic walking in Selva, Dolomites, Italy
Four Sunday B walkers stayed at the Hotel Melleier in Selva from 17-24 July. The mountains were spectacular, the wild flowers were the best we had seen, the food in the hotel was excellent, the rooms were spacious with en-suite bathrooms, balconies with lovely views and plenty of storage and we had good weather with plenty of sunshine. The leaders were good too. There was a choice of two walks each day and gondolas and chair lifts enabled us to walk the high routes without doing all the hard ascent ourselves. There was also a high routes holiday running at the same time for those wanting more challenging walking.
One Wednesday A walker returned to Selva in August to do a second week of walking.
