My ‘bluebell’ walk is taking a somewhat different route than last year but will again be using the nice Red Lion pub at Preston. It is easiest for the pub if we book sandwiches etc in advance, but they will get extra bread in that morning so we can book on the day. Choices are:  baguettes, campagnes (described as country bread) or wholemeal with salad: Ham, bacon, quorn, cheddar or brie for £3.95; steak costs £4.95. Ham, egg & chips costs £7.95. If anyone wants to find out the ‘specials’ of the day on the Tuesday 26^th then they should phone 01462 459585 and book independently.

Parking is in Great Offley at the layby at GR 143267 (or on the road nearby). This is near a footpath. I can’t see a name for the road on the OS map, but it is probably Salusbury Lane. Basically turn into Great Offley off of the A505 and then in the village turn left onto the High Street. Continue towards the church and turn right onto Salusbury Avenue and left onto Salusbury Lane.
