Alan W will lead a walk from Swavesey church car park GR TL362693, (Explorer 225) 13.5 miles.

From the A14 pass through the village, you will see the church and graveyard on the left. The car park is immediately before the graveyard. If you reach the guided busway you have gone too far. We will walk via Swavesey Fen to the River Ouse, then follow the river downstream to Brownshill Staunch. We cross the river here and walk back down the opposite side to the lovely village of Holywell where we have lunch at the Old Ferry Boat Inn (hopefully now hygienic after last year’s problems). The walk continues to St. Ives, crossing by the Old Bridge and returning by the river to Swavesey. There is the option of a short cut return by the guided busway for those who wish.
