The next ramble will start from The Eight Bells, 18, Bridge Street, Saffron Walden CB10 1BU. The pub has a reasonably big car park, but if it’s full there is public parking on Swan Meadow Car Park, just down the road. (Pay and display £2 for 4 hours) Meet at the pub at 10am, start rambling at 10.30 and return for (optional) lunch at 12.30. It’s a winter walk which loops around the outskirts and the centre of the Saffron Walden. It’s largely on paved/gravelled paths but there are some areas which may be a bit muddy, so boots are advised.
