We will start from The Eight Bells, 18, Bridge Street, Saffron Walden CB10 1BU. The pub has a reasonably big car park, but if it’s full there is public parking on Swan Meadow Car Park, just down the road. (Pay and display.)
Meet at the pub at 10am for coffee, start rambling at 10.30 and return for (optional) lunch at 12.30. It’s a winter walk which loops around the outskirts and the centre of the Saffron Walden. It’s largely on paved/gravelled paths but there are some areas which may be a bit muddy, so boots – and possibly sticks – are advised.
