New Year Walk Magog Down – Villedomer Wood – Arable Walk – Wandlebury

Start 10.30 Magog Down Car Park, Haverhill Road, Cambridge, CB22 5FX – post code does not go to car park – look for sign to Magog Down. Haverhill Road from Stapleford has re-opened. Note there is a charge of £3 per car to pay at the coin or card machine. Parking is free for Friends of Magog Downs.

From Cambridge go past Addenbrooke’s on the A1307. Continue uphill after a roundabout along Babraham Road and turn right along Haverhill Road, opposite the turning to the Gog Farm shop. After 250m, opposite a metal barrier and the sign for Magog Down, is the entrance to the car park on your left.

Starting at 10.30 from the noticeboard, we walk along tracks across Magog Down including the boardwalk, Villedomer Wood and the Arable Walk to reach an exit gate across the A1307 to Wandlebury. We then follow various signed paths, via the walled garden (loo available) alongside fields and woodland, returning to cross the A1307 back to Magog Down by about 12.15.
