The first C Group outing of the New Year is the 3.7 mile Town and Gown walk on Wednesday 8 January. The walk is from the Old Spring Pub just off the Chesterton Road Cambridge at CB4 1HB. Coffee will be from 10am. There is a shorter walk for those still recovering from over-indulgence.
DIRECTIONS
If you are on the Chesterton road approaching from the East, drive past De Freville Avenue on your left and you will see the ‘Old Spring’ at 1 Ferry Path on your left. DON’T turn left until the next small turn left (Trafalgar Gardens) which leads to the pub’s car park.
If you are approaching on Chesterton Road from the West, drive around Mitcham’s Corner and no more than 100m after turning left into Chesterton Road turn right into a minor lane (Trafalgar Gardens) which leads to the Pub’s car park. If you overshoot the lane go on to De Freville Avenue on your right where you can find space for turning back The car park ONLY HAS 12 SPACES so please share cars if possible or come by bus if convenient.
