Barton – Lark Rise Farm reserve – Bourn Brook – Millennium Wood – Barton
Meet 10.15 for 10.30 start at Burwash Manor, New Road, Barton CB23 7EY
From Cambridge take the A603 Barton Road. After the roundabout go over the M11 along the A603 and turn right into the B1046, New Road. The entrance to Burwash Manor is a short distance on the left. Turn in and drive with care along the lane to the cone and metal barrier where you turn left into the large car park. Please park at the far end of the car park and walk back to the courtyard to meet up by the wicker ‘bison’ on the grass on the left. Lunch is available at ‘Flock Cafe’ www.flockcafe.co.uk (seating inside and outside but no reservation possible).

We walk to Barton recreation ground then cross the A603 into Lark Rise Farm reserve and cross Bourn Brook to walk along the bank then recross at the GMT footbridge. (Break) Continue walking past Millennium Wood then towards, but not over, the M11 for a few minutes before turning left on a track towards the A603 and back to Burwash Manor. The walk is circular, approx 3.5 miles
