Walk in Wicken Fen:
We shall meet in the 5 Miles from Anywhere Inn, Upware CB7 5ZR at 10am for coffee before starting off at 10.30. The Inn is hospitable and offers a wide menu of well presented starters, snacks and mains.

Directions: take the A10 towards Ely
At the Stretham roundabout take the right turn onto the A1123 towards Wicken.
Look out for a sign on the right to Upware the Inn is easily spotted and has plenty of parking.

The walk is circular and follows a route along Wicken Lode past a Tower Hide. Crossing a bridge we continue along Monk’s Lode and then along a cycle path. Continue on the Cycle parth for about 1/2 ml. turn right . This path will bring you back to Wicken Lode after a mile.
[It is possible to shorten the walk by turning right just after the bridge and after following that path for about 1/2 mile turning right and after another 1/2 ml you will be back on Wicken Lode.]
With the exception of the Cycle path,the paths may be muddy and a bit slippery.
