Approaching Haverhill on the A1307 you will see a leaning metal structure on the roundabout do not take the left exit. Continue on the bypass. Go over the next 3 roundabouts, at the 4th roundabout go right onto the B1057 sign posted Steeple Bumpstead. After approx 3 miles enter the village and keep on the B1057 signposted Finchingfield. Go through the village, shortly after passing the Fox & Hounds Pub you will see the village hall on your right. Take the next turning on the right sign posted Bower Hall Drive. Post Code: CB9 7EF follow the road round to the green with the children’s swings and the rear car park of the village hall.

PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE FRONT CAR PARK OF THE VILLAGE HALL.

4 miles in morning. Fox & Hounds pub for lunch. Those with sandwiches, village green near where we park the cars, so no need to carry lunch around. 3 miles in afternoon.

This is a walk with a difference, as I will be explaining some of the history of this lovely area. Steeple Bumpstead is a VERY PRETTY VILLAGE WITH SO MUCH HISTORY.
