Starting at Quendon Village Hall Car Park CB11 3XQ (£1.50 per car) Walk is 5miles am and 2.5miles pm. Hopefully, despite this hot weather, there will still be Bluebells in several of the woods.

Leave A11 at Stump Cross Roundabout signed Saffron Walden B184. Almost immediately at next roundabout turn right onto B1383 signed Great Chesterford and Newport. Continue through Newport to Quendon Village Hall Car Park on right. (Please park at rear of CP). £1.50 per car

Lunch at The Chequers Pub, Ugley – Soup £4.50, Sandwiches £4.50 and Jacket Potatoes £5 – £5.75. Own food can be eaten outside the Pub, but you must buy a drink though.
