Wednesday B Morning walk – Stretham – 6.2 miles

A circular walk from Stretham along river banks and field tracks, passing through Little Thetford. Of interest along the way is the Stretham Old Steam Engine Drainage Engine, dating from 1831.

The walk will start from meeting point about half way down Short Road near play area. As you come from roundabout at Stretham in Wicken direction passing the rec. on the right take the first right turning into Short Road. There is on-road parking here and nearby roads. Postcode is CB6 3LS for this road.

There is not much cover for toilet stops I’m afraid so have to take our chances!

There is one fairly high stile along the way to climb over.

Start at 10:00. There will be a 10 minute drinks stop part way.
As no lunch is involved it is not necessary to phone leader – just turn up.
