Wednesday B Morning walk – Stow cum Quy – 6 miles

Meet/park along the top section of road leading to Quy Mill Hotel  – TL 513 597

(nearest post-code CB25 9AF).

Coming east along the A14 take the turning to Quy and Newmarket, making sure you stay in the left hand lane of the slip-road. This will ensure that as you turn left at the roundabout you take the Quy village road (which goes past on the left hand side of the church). Just before you reach the church, there is a left-hand turn off marked ‘Quy Mill Hotel’, which you should take. This road immediatelty bears sharp left, at which point you will be travelling parallel, but in the opposite direction(!) to the village road from the roundabout – it’s much simpler than it sounds. After about 100m, the road bears slightly right. Park anywhere along this 300m straight section of road.
