Wednesday B Morning walk – Six Mile Bottom – 6 miles

Coming South on the A1304 London Road, go through Six Mile Bottom and over the railway level crossing. After a further 0.8km,  just as the road becomes a dual carriageway, take the left turn (marked Weston Colville/West Wratting) and park along the initial 400m long straight section of road. If you pass this turn, you will end up on the Southbound A11 carriageway and will have to travel down to the next turn off in order to come back.

This walk is part minor road, part field edge, though the latter is not usually that sticky. The walk starts by travelling across to the village church and over the railway, which we follow up to Westley Bottom. A steep section of  hill takes us up to the usual 10 minute break point.  Following the break, we will pass by the Woodland cemetery and down to the Icknield Way which we will take back to the starting point.

Wednesday B Morning walks are moderate speed – 3 m.p.h. on good terrain.
There will be a 10 minute drinks stop part way.
As no lunch is involved it is not necessary to phone leader – just turn up.
