This walk will start from the road leading to Quy Mill Hotel (TL 513 597), there being ample parking here. See:

Thus, from the A14 Quy roundabout, stay on the inside lane towards the village and when almost opposite the church (which should be on your right), turn left – it is clearly marked ‘Quy Mill Hotel’. Go beyond the first section of straight road to the longer second section and park half way along.

The walk begins by passing underneath the A14 and across the Newmarket road shortly afterwards    at Quy Water. Initially walking on the Western side of the Wilbraham river, we will cross and head to Short Drove Way via a now fairly rustic timber bridge. Heading to Frog End, then Primrose farm, the walk arrives at the top end of Little Wilbraham, which we will pass through, taking a 10 minute refreshment break at the rec.
The return journey passes by the village windmill and on to Hawk Mill farm, leading to Long Drove Way back to Quy Water, and returning via the initial section of the morning’s walk.
