Quy – Teversham (6 miles)

This is a figure of eight walk, starting from near the A14 Quy roundabout. There is ample parking along the old dis-used public road at TL515599 or Grid Coordinates 551021 259728, as can be seen here:

Stay on the inside lane of the Quy roundabout and proceed just a few hundred metres before turning left at the sign marked ‘Quy Mill Hotel’ (opposite the church).

The walk will start by going under the A14 and across the Newmarket road to the public footpath that will take us to Teversham. From here, the through-road footpath will take us south through the village and out to Caudle dyke, along which we will stop for the usual 10 minute break.
Caudle dyke eventually meets up with the Little Wilbraham river, at which point, the route will take us west to Quy Waters, where we again cross the Newmarket road and pass under the A14, but this time, we will head towards Quy Mill hotel and take the field path into Quy itself. A short stretch of roadside walking to Station road will lead us back through the Hall grounds and to our original starting point.

As no lunch is involved it is not necessary to phone leader – just turn up.
