Wednesday B Morning walk – Needingworth – 6.5 miles

Meeting at RSPB Nature Reserve at Ouse Fen, Bluntisham Rd, Needingworth, St. Ives PE27 4TA

Route is A14, turn off towards St.Ives on A1096, go through a number of mini roundabouts, turn right on the A1123 in the direction of Needingworth. Turn right again to drive through the village of Needingworth, down the High St and out the other side on the Bluntisham Rd. RSPB Ouse Fen Nature Reserve is signposted and on the right.

If the A14 is not your thing Needingworth can be approached via Cottenham, Willingham, Earith ,and Bluntisham. Approaching this way turn left towards Needingworth from A1123, and the RSPB reserve will be on the left before you get to the village.

The walk is approximately 6.5 miles, and it will be muddy in parts. Bring your binoculars.

Wednesday Morning B walks are moderate speed – 3 m.p.h. on good terrain. Start at 10.00. There will be a 10 minute drink stop part way. As no lunch is involved, it is not necessary to phone the leader – just turn up.
