Wednesday B Morning walk – Bottisham/Swaffham Bullbeck – 6.5 miles

A circular walk, starting at the eastern end of Bottisham. From the Quy A14 roundabout, take the outer lane of the first exit, towards Newmarket (ie, the Bottisham bypass).  Ignore the first left turn marked Bottisham, but take the 2nd one. This is the eastern end of the High Street. After only 100 yards, turn right – it is marked ‘Hilton Park Care Centre’, and park up along this 200 yard stub of road:

The walk will head down the High Street towards the Church, passing through its grounds and on northwards to Longmeadow, stopping afterwards half-way towards Swaffham Bullbeck for a 10 minute break. A climb over the ridge at the far end of Swaffham Bullbeck  and down to the Bottisham bypass will bring us back to our starting point. There will be an equal mix of footpath and right-of-way walking.

Start at 10:00. There will be a 10 minute drinks stop part way.
As no lunch is involved it is not necessary to phone leader – just turn up.
