Wednesday B Morning walk – Barrington
March 25 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
CANCELLED DUE TO CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK
Wednesday B Morning walk – Barrington – 6 miles
A 6 mile circular walk starting from the Village Hall car park in Barrington (address is 63 High St, Barrington, Cambridgeshire, post code CB22 7QX).
Please park at the back of the car park and as far into the left corner as possible. Barrington is off the A10, about half way between Cambridge and Royston. The village hall is on the main road through Barrington, same side as and near to The Royal Oak pub (which is recommended for any Lunchers). Donations of £1 per car would be appreciated as we have to make a gesture for use of the car park. It will be a classic route from Barrington up to the dramatic clunch pit and down to and through Harlton and back ‘over the hill’ to Barrington. This walk is hilly with a couple of significant steep ascents and it will be muddy – sticks advised.
Care / extra travel time as the route from the south through Shepreth may still be closed – if so best to approach Barrington from either the Foxton turn off A10, or come in through Orwell or Harlton from the A603.
Leader: Elizabeth 01223 872543 mobile 0n-the-day 07866 167726
Wednesday B Morning walks are moderate speed – 3 m.p.h. on good terrain.
There will be a 10 minute drinks stop part way.
As no lunch is involved it is not necessary to phone leader – just turn up.
