On the A1301 from Cambridge to Saffron Walden, cross the A11 junction onto the B184 and take the second turning left signposted Cow Lane. After about a kilometre you pass a house on your right. Turn right immediately afterwards. About 200m. on your left is the farmer’s concrete platform, which is unavailable for parking at the moment, but we have permission to park in front of it and also up the track to the right opposite the platform. GR 524 438. Some road walking, a little hilly here and there, no stiles.
Lunch is available at the Crown and Thistle in Great Chesterford High Street. For those bringing their own food there is a green nearby.
