From Cambridge, take the A1307 south towards Haverhill. Soon after Linton, turn right towards Bartlow. At the crossroads in Bartlow village turn right towards Ashdon. On entering Ashdon, take the lefthand fork at the Rose & Crown pub onto Radwinter Road. Passing the Baptist Chapel on the left, the Chapel car park is another 100 metres on the right. Please park furthest away from the entrance. We suggest a £1 per car as a donation to the Chapel.

There is a pub at Bartlow – The Three Hills – www.thethreehills.co.uk but you may wish to check the prices first. Alternatively, bring a picnic lunch to have amongst the Bartlow Hills, a Roman tumuli cemetery. Three of originally seven barrows remain and the tallest, at 15 metres high, is the largest Roman barrow north of the Alps.
