From Cambridge, follow the A1301 S from Trumpington and, just beyond the M11

Junction 9a at Stump Cross, turn R onto the B1383 towards Newport. After leaving

Newport, take the first L, sign posted Widdington.  In Widdington, keep R past

 the turning to the church and after about 200yds turn R into Hamel Way  GR537316

 (opposite Connells Lane) and then R again just beyond the end of the hedge, into a small

access road.   Please park carefully and avoid blocking access to the many garages.   There

will be a charge of £1/car.

Lunch is at the Cock Inn in Henham – soup, sandwiches from £5.   Own sandwiches may

 be eaten outside, but everyone should buy a drink.   There are no stiles, the going is

generally good, but there are some stretches with mud/puddles (as of 4th October) –

and some up and down as you might expect in Essex!
