31 March – this walk has been cancelled as the leader has tested positive for COVID.

Start time: 10.15

Walk length: 7 miles (4.75 miles before lunch and 2.25 miles after lunch)

Walk details: It was muddy on the first part of the walk on the day of the recce (Friday 24th March) but not so bad after lunch. Hopefully it won’t be too bad when the 5th April arrives.

Directions from Cambridge: Take the A1303 towards Newmarket. After 6 miles at the roundabout take 2nd exit on to the Barbara Stradbroke Avenue/ A1304 towards Newmarket.

In Newmarket at the clock tower roundabout take the exit onto Old Station Road/ B1063 and immediately turn left onto Moulton Road for 3 miles.

Turn left onto The Street/ B1085 and immediately turn right onto Bridge Street, Moulton.

Go down Bridge Street and turn right onto Brookside towards St. Peters Church.

A field below the Church will be opened for walkers to park in.

Lunch arrangements: Please bring your food and drink with you as the only pub in Dalham does not open on weekday lunchtimes.

We have booked Dalham Village Hall to have our packed lunches.

Walking boots must be removed or covered before entering the building. At the Hall we have the use of tables and chairs which must be returned to the storeroom after use and we will have access to toilets. Dogs are allowed in the village hall.

We have been asked for a donation so I will be collecting £1 per car for the use of the field at St. Peter’s church plus £1 per person for the hire of Dalham Village Hall.
